Luke 9.18-27 “Don’t be foolish!” Good advice, don’t you think? Yet we spend inordinate amounts of time, effort and money to keep things that are continually and inevitably slipping away – youth, money, children, status, perceptions, positions, power and possessions. You name it, we hold on to it as long and as hard as we can! Jesus suggests we redirect our aim so that we gain what we cannot lose!
