Financial Peace University
Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (Dave Ramsey FPU) will change the way you think about personal finance! Dave teaches about how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money, eliminate debt, find bargains, and experience the joy of a generous life.
MCC hosts a FPU session once a year, generally beginning in January. The orientation will last about 30 to 45 minutes. We will see a short video from Dave Ramsey and then answer any questions you have. At that time you can decide if you want to join the upcoming class and you will pay $90.00 for the FPU kit. We will deliver your kit at that time. This fee is a one time fee that will cover your kit and your family going through FPU as many times as you would like. If you order the kit direct from daveramsey.com, it will cost $99.00. MCC does not make any money on the class - we do this as one of our community outreach programs. We will accept checks or cash.
The classes will meet from 6pm to 8pm each Sunday evening, where a video from Dave will be shown first before you will break into small groups to discuss what we have learned and to ask questions.
The average family will payoff over $5000.00 in debt and put over $2500.00 in the bank during this 13 week class.
This class gives us the tools necessary to get out of debt and "Change our Family Tree". We also find out that we are not alone with our money problems but we can take control of our financial situation and get completely out of debt, forever!

Angel Tree Prison Fellowship Ministry
Every child has a story. For 1.7 million American children, that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness, and shame that comes from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration.
For Angel from California, her story began with a deep anger toward her mother, who was serving her third stint in prison. Most days, she shut herself in her room, only to venture out to go to school, where she fought with other students, spat back at her teachers, and disregarded her assignments till she got F's on her report card.
But over the next few months, Angel Tree®, through a local church, provided a way for Angel to go to camp, where she heard about Jesus and made a decision to forgive her mom. Now the two are good friends, and Angel has found a second home in the church that reached out to her with Christ's love.
"Now that I'm going to church, God is with me more often. I can feel like I always really trust Him. He's just like a friend," Angel says.
If a story like Angel's could be re-written, any child's can.
At MCC and through the Angel Tree Fellowship Ministy, we find ways to reach out to children like Angel: By sharing Christ's love with them at Christmas and by developing year-round relationships. In the end, it's so much more than giving Christmas gifts-it's about restoring families.
Will you help us re-write these stories from ones of desperation to ones of hope?
